BJCF Awards Grant the Public Library Summer Reading Program

The Boulder Junction Community Foundation awarded the Boulder Junction Public Library a $450 grant to purchase Lego sets for the Children’s Summer Reading Program grand prize raffle. Boulder Junction Public Library’s “Build a Better World” summer reading program lays the groundwork for children to become lifelong readers and learners. Special program activities included a session about plastics and pollution with Anne Moser, librarian at Wisconsin’s Water Library at UW-Madison; a presentation about animal habitats and our role in the environment with Licia Johnson, a naturalist from the North Lakeland Discovery Center; hands-on instruction on making the world beautiful and taking care of animals while designing birdhouses with local artist, Molly Hegeman; and learning about building bridges and building relationships with storyteller, Tracy Chipman. The Boulder Junction Community Foundation is a proud supporter of this annual program.
